This is Mauna
Kea - the highest point in the Pacific at 13,796 feet (4,205 metres)
- as seen from the Saddle Road
Opposite the turn-off that leads you up the mountain is this island of green in the lava-field - Puu Huluhulu
As you climb the flanks of Mauna Kea, you can look back and see Mauna Loa - the Long Mountain.
