Disney's Beauty and the Beast

Possibly even more than their live-action counterparts, animated films always seem to generate improbable and amazing statistics. Beauty and the Beast is no exception - it was technically ground-breaking and a box-office smash to boot.

Why does Belle wear blue?

No, I didn't know either. I used to link to a big trivia site here - which naturally answered the above question - however, that site appears to be no more. So - for those who never got to see it and therefore the answer to the question - Belle wears blue because it contrasts with the colours of the clothing of the other villagers, making her stand out as 'different'. Most of the other village characters wear fairly rustic garments of brown, red, yellow or green - Belle wears blue and white and is certainly a head-turner!
